Our immediate surroundings are a beautiful rural area surrounded by 3 Special Protection Areas of the Natura 2000 network<\/strong> combining extensive oak and beech forests with mountain pastures and various transition areas.<\/p>

It is an area rich in birdlife, where many species of birds of prey can already be seen, especially the community of griffon vultures and red kites that arrive from all over Europe during the autumn to spend the winter in our meadows.<\/p>

From the cottage Ulle Gorri, three bioclimatic zones can be identified within 50 km, making it one of the most biodiverse places in Europe.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

With your boots on, you’ll be able to explore breathtaking natural sites such as the Salto del Nervi\u00f3n, the Gibijo mountain range<\/strong> and the Delika Canyon -Arrastaria, the Gujuli Waterfall<\/strong>,\u00a0 The Lamioxin Lagoon, the Altube beech forest,<\/strong> the San Pedro Civil War Trenches, Delika Canyon<\/strong>, as well as Artoma\u00f1a and the beautiful town of Ordu\u00f1a.<\/strong><\/p>

It is a spectacular spot, located in the Sierra de Gibijo, a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA), bordering the territories of Bizkaia (Ordu\u00f1a) and Burgos (Sierra Salvada).<\/p>

In this privileged landscape of vertiginous walls, the monument to the Virgen de la Pe\u00f1a in Txarlazo stands out, the imposing canyon formed by the water and in the Nervi\u00f3n waterfall<\/strong>, the highest waterfall on the Iberian Peninsula, which is located only 5 km from the hamlet<\/strong> a route with little slope and suitable for all publics.<\/p>

Although the Salto del Nervi\u00f3n only carries water during the winter, after heavy rains or thaws, the views along the route are just as spectacular.<\/p>

The Gorbeia Natural Park, the largest in the Basque Country, is home to an endless number of natural and cultural treasures. Ulle Gorri is located in the foothills of Gorbeia, on the southern slopes of the park.<\/p>

A network of trails allows hikers to discover the beautiful landscapes of this protected area, to observe its flora and fauna, and also to appreciate the traditions and culture of the human beings who inhabited and still inhabit this territory.<\/p>
